Catching up AGAIN

So I have let a couple more months slip by. I wished I stayed at home so I can keep up with what is going on more often. Everything is pretty much the same with Chris and I. Chris is finishing up his last couple of classes and will be finished with his Bachelor's degree in December!! Yeah!!! Then he will start on his Masters very quickly after that. I'm thinking of starting my Master's again and probably in Elementary Education. I would love to have the opportunity to work with kids but also be able to stay home with mine in the summer time and on other breaks.

Aiden is now a little over 6 months. He is getting so big, too big...I don't like it. He has started saying Ma-Ma, and Bah-Bah but no Da-Da yet. I'm sure that's not far behind. He enjoys eating his toes, clapping his hands and making as much noise as he possibly can. He has been trying to scoot around as well. We will have to start baby proofing the house fairly soon.

I think I need to put a reminder on my phone to update this thing every couple of weeks...that sounds like a plan to me!!!

Catching up

Ok, so I got this text from Heather Boulter the other day that says to update my blog when I get a chance. The chance does not happen often when you work and have an active little boy around and a 3 month old, but I will try to get better. (If you couldn't tell, the first little boy I was referring to is Chris..LOL). Since mother's day, life has been pretty normal. It is getting HOT here in AZ of course. Ready for winter already.

Aiden is growing so much. On June 13th, Aiden hit 3 months old and Chris and I celebrated our "1st anniversary" of being sealed in the Mesa, AZ Temple. It is amazing to think that a year has passed by and we have this wonderful little family that is blessed to be together for eternity.

So back to Aiden. He has rolled from his tummy to his back on several occassions. He laughs and smiles ALL the time. He only cries when its the norm of sleepy, tired, wet/dirty, hungry and even then, the crying doesn't last long. He sleeps through the night, but every once in a while wakes up once. At his 2 month check up he was 12 lbs 12 oz. I am sure he is at the 14 lb mark now or beyond. He is our little chunky monkey. He eats his fists, literally, double fisting all the time. He does well at the baby-sitters. We drop him off, he is smiling, we pick him up, he is smiling. It makes my day better knowing that he is a happy boy.

In July we are planning to go to Texas to see my family. It will be Aiden's first trip on an airplane. Hopefully that goes well. Otherwise, life is good, not just good, it is wonderful. Chris, Aiden and I are so happy!!

My First Mother's Day

How blessed I am to be a mother!! The last two year's Mother's Day had been very hard for me. Just a month after Chris and I got married, we had gotten pregnant and not too long after that I had a miscarriage. Needless to say, Mother's Day was very difficult. This last year I was just so ready to be a mother and was getting a little discouraged. Now, this year, I have the most beautiful, sweet spirited, amazing baby boy! I could not ask for anything more. Being a mother is the most incredible feeling in the world. Thank you to my mother, and all the other women in my life who have been a positive influence. I now understand with the feeling of going through labor that no matter what you will always love your children :)

Can I fit the WHOLE thing in my mouth mom?

Aiden has been a finger and a fist sucker since he arrived. One day he looked as if he was trying to fit the WHOLE thing in his mouth. What a silly boy!?!

Aiden's Blessing

Aiden had his blessing at the Maricopa 2nd Ward on May 2, 2010 (the day before his daddy's 2 year anniversary of being baptised). His daddy, along with several worthy priesthood holders were there to bless him, including his Uncle Joseph. His daddy blessed him with health and strength, a desire for an education, to serve a mission, to have a love of serving others and to get married in the temple where he can be sealed to his future family. I am crying again as I am writing this just now. It was a beautiful day. My MawMaw and PawPaw were able to drive up from Texas (one set of Aiden's Great Grandparents). We had a wonderful time and a wonderful week spending time with them.

My sweet baby!!!

Aiden fell asleep beside Chris on the bed...he was so tired!!

Happy Boy

Aiden was being so cute this morning (4-22-10) that I could not resist taking pictures. I had just given him a bath, got him all dressed up and put him on my bed while I finished getting ready. I heard him cooing and he was just making all sorts of cute faces. I grabbed the camera and LOVE the shots I got of him. Just this week he has been expressing this little personality of his and it is so ADORABLE!!! I LOVE THIS LITTLE HAPPY BOY!!!

Aiden's First Easter

Across the street from our house at Pacana Park, the city put on an Easter Egg Hunt. Of course Aiden is too little to hunt, so we just took him over to get a picture with the Easter Bunny. You will probably agree that they could have gotten a better costume.

Aiden April 2010

So here is another slideshow of what has gone on with Aiden so far....I can't believe how big he is getting.

Aiden has arrived...March 13, 2010

We were able to welcome Aiden Christopher Brisnehan into our family on March 13, 2010at 2:40am at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, AZ. After arriving to the hospital on Friday March 12th because of my water beginning to break, I was given this fill to help start contractions...yeah, no fun there. I arrived dialated at 2cm and after taking the pill I went to 4cm, but the pill was making me have contractions lasting close to 5 minutes long and I was miserable. They didn't give me the pill anymore and put me on pitosin (sp). That sucked as well. I did go from 4cm to 7cm but the contractions were still pretty bad.

Shower by Jen and Stephanie

One of my good friends Jen Layton and my sister in law Stephanie Cooper (along with the help of others) threw me a CUTE western baby shower. Bethany Palmateer made the most adorable cake ever and the overall decor of Jen's was adorable. Thank you to all who attended. I have such wonderful friends.

Shower by Natalie and Diane

I love my girls or should I say GRILZ!!! Natalie and Diane were so sweet as to throw me a shower. They did such a great job and I got sooooo many cute little boy outfits. To all my friends who were able to come I love you guys so much!!!

Texas Shower

I am so lucky to have some wonderful friends and family members. In Texas, my mother and Aunt Kara threw me a shower at which I had both sets of grandparents there which was wonderful to see them. My mom, dad and sister were there including my Uncle Jeff, Aunt Kara and Bailey. Two friends of our family were able to attend as well, Misty Sprouse and Kim Barbolla. I received many wonderful things for our little boy.

Joseph and Stephanie's Wedding

On September 4, 2009 my brother Joseph Cooper married Stephanie Bernam in the Mesa, AZ Temple. It was a beautiful wedding and we were very excited for them. Many members of both our family and Stephanie's family were able to attend. We wish all the luck to them.

Baby Boy Brisnehan

Chris and I found out on July 11, 2009 that we were pregnant again. We were so excited but also crossing our fingers that everything would go ok this time. I personally had been praying for a while that we would get pregnant and what do you know...Heavenly Father answered our prayers. Right after Chris and I go sealed in the Mesa, AZ temple in June, we got pregnant. We were excited to find out we were having a boy who would be born sometime in March of 2010.

Hawaii 2009

At the end of June, Chris and I, along with two other couples, Erin & Michael Ballard and Amber & Matt Durfee decided to take a trip to Hawaii before we all started our family. We spent 6 days in Kihei on the island of Maui. It was absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful time staying in a 3 bedroom condo, Chris making dinner, playing games in the evening while spending as much time outside and on the beach as possible. All the guys got sick at one point, Matt got a bad subuurnb, Chris broke his ankle and the girls, well, we just got tan. What a great trip though. We had so much fun going on a trip with some of our closest friends. Hopefully we will be able to do it again, but the next time, kids will probably be invovled...which is what we will find out a few weeks later!!

June 13, 2009 "For Time and All Eternity"

In June, Chris and I were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple. After Chris's 1 year of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we were able to be sealed together for time and all eternity. It was a wonderful day, one that we will never forget. How wonderful it is to know that our family will be together for eternity. There were a few things that tried to keep us from getting sealed on the day we planned which was June 12, but because of weather and wanting my parents there, we were able to be sealed on June 13. Family is so important and I love and appreciate everyone in my family and Chris's as well. We had several friends attend along with my family including my parents, brother and future sister in law, and Butch and Jennifer. Thank you all who attended.

February 2009

There were a lot of things that happened in 2009. We visited Chris's grandmother in California in February for their birthday get together. We had a good time with Chris's parents and Aunt Monica (and can't forget Howie) who came to visit as well. We toured a naval ship, Chris played golf with his family and the majority of the time we played cards. I unfortunatley I was sick with what I now think was walking pneumonia but luckily I had some time to relax. On the drive home to Arizona, Chris and I ended up getting snowed on.

2008

The rest of 2008 was great. We settled in the house and took a couple of trips. We went to Texas to be at Chelsey's graduation. We went on a cruise with Chris's parents in October to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We snorkeled in Cabo, took a tour in Mazatlan and swam with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta. At Christmas my parents and sister came to visit. It was nice spending Christmas together. My brother joined us as well. One day we took a train ride in northern Arizona which was pretty cool.
